Ends of the Earth
Parkwood supports the International Mission Board by giving to the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and has been recognized for the last 2 years as a leader in giving to the Lottie Moon, International Missions Offering of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Parkwood also partners with Linc-Up Missions (www.lincupmissions.com). Since 2014 we have sent teams annually to Brazil to partner with local Brazilian congregations and to take the gospel to the an unreached people group known as the Quilombolas. We have also partnered with IMB missionaries in Spain and taken teams in 2009, 2012, 2015.
In 2011 one of our deaf members went to China as an IMB missionary and now serves on the field with her husband in China, working with the deaf.
For over 10 years, Parkwood has partnered with Samaritan’s Purse-Operation Christmas Child and sent teams annually to the distribution center in Charlotte and collected boxes each year. For December 2016, the members at Parkwood collected 1,100 boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
Parkwood is a strong advocate
for the Gideons International Bible Minsitry. We have church members that serve as Gideons and we
take offerings annually to support Bible distribution locally and globally.
